About the PASS Project
The Partnership for Applied Sciences Project is a partnership between Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU), and three German Universities of Applied Sciences (Hochshule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS), TH Köln University of Applied Sciences, and International Hochshule Bad Honnef (IUBH) – Bonn International University of Applied Sciences).
The four-year (July, 2017 – June, 2021) project funded through the German Academic Exchange Services [Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD)] and the German Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research in North Rhine-Westphalia (MIWF) aims at achieving full transformation of KsTU and CCTU according to the model of German Universities of Applied Sciences. The Project, among other things, is building the capacity of KsTU, CCTU and ATU in the following:
- Curriculum Development and Competency-Based Teaching for relevant study programmes
- Applied Research Development
- Incubation, Entrepreneurship & Private Sector Networks
- Managerial Capacity Development
